Affiliate Disclosure

Author: Jim Liu, Sydney

TradeSmart aims to operate with full transparency. This page spells out our commercial relationships with third-party brokers so you know exactly which links are affiliate referrals, what that means for your wallet, and how (or whether) those relationships shape what we publish.

Which links are affiliate links

Some broker-related links on this site are affiliate referrals. The two recurring partners are moomoo (HK, US, and AU brokerage accounts) and TradingView (charting and market-data subscriptions). Both are surfaced through the site-wide BrokerCTA component and may appear inside articles and calculator sidebars. Other brokers we mention β€” including Futu, Interactive Brokers, Tiger Brokers, Longbridge, uSMART, and Webull β€” are currently not affiliate partners and appear purely for comparison.

No impact on your pricing

Signing up, opening an account, or subscribing through an affiliate link costs you exactly the same as visiting the broker directly. There is no markup. When you complete a qualifying action (KYC, funding, or paid subscription), the third-party platform may pay us a referral fee, which helps fund hosting, paid data feeds, and continuing updates.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our reviews, scores, or comparison verdicts. We grade every broker on the same checklist β€” commissions, supported markets, deposit friction, research tooling, customer support, and regulatory standing β€” and we disclose downsides openly (for example, the 0.1% HK stamp duty cannot be waived by any broker, regardless of partnership). If an affiliate product underperforms in a real-world test, we say so.

Compliance alignment

The content on this site is published for investor education and general information only. Nothing here constitutes financial advice, an offer, or a solicitation. We align our editorial practices with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) investor-education guidelines and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) guidance for online content creators and finfluencers. We do not hold a financial services licence and we do not provide personalised advice. Investing carries risk; please consult a licensed professional before acting.

Feedback and challenges

If you spot a promotion that is not clearly labelled, or you disagree with a review conclusion, please write to [email protected]. Reader feedback gets read and, where warranted, drives updates to the page in question.
